DESCRIPTION:OFFICIAL NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING\nAttn: All West Kootenay Métis Society Voting Members\n \nWKMS Bylaws state that a member is eligible to vote if they are 18 years of age\, a MNBC member\, a resident of BC for 6 months prior to the election\, and a member of the West Kootenay Métis geographic boundaries for 30 days prior to the election. Members interested in running for a Director position are to notify the President or Secretary no later than 14 days prior to the election’s scheduled date. The Board of Directors will present to the voting members the names of those interested in running for Director positions no later than 5 days prior to the scheduled AGM. Nominations from the assembly may be received on the day of the election if the nominee is otherwise qualified.\nIf anyone would like a copy of the WKMS Bylaws please email westkootenaycc@mnbc.ca\n\n\nThe Agenda will include:\n\nPresentation of Financial Reports for the preceding fiscal year\nPresentation of Reports from the 2026 President and Board of Directors\nBoard Elections (All Positions) for 2027-28 term\n\n\nWe are seeking passionate Métis community members to join our volunteer Board of Directors. This is your opportunity to shape the future of the West Kootenay Métis Society and make a real difference in our Métis community. \nBoard members help guide our programs\, events and community initiatives. No prior board experience is required – just enthusiasm and a commitment to our community.
