Volunteer

Our events, workshops, and cultural gatherings happen because of dedicated volunteers. From helping set up at community events to sharing your skills at cultural workshops, your time and energy make a real difference. Attend Events

One of the simplest and most meaningful ways to get involved is to show up. Join us for monthly gatherings, seasonal celebrations, cultural learnings, and more. Every event is an opportunity to connect with community, learn something new, and celebrate our proud Métis identity here in the West Kootenays.

Help Lead Our Community

The West Kootenay Métis Society is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, elected by our members at the Annual General Meeting. If you’re passionate about Métis culture and community leadership, consider putting your name forward or casting your vote at the AGM. Your voice shapes the direction of our society.
