Corn Bread

Ingredients
  

  • 2/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1-2/3 cups milk
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 4-1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 -1/3 cups flour

Equipment

  • 1 set of measuring cups
  • 1 Set of measuring spoons
  • 1 ziploc bag for shaking ingredients together!
  • 1 13 x 9 pan or muffin tin
  • 2 bowl

Method
 

  1. 1. In bowl, cream butter and sugar
    2. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs and milk together
    3. Combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder, and salt (author mentions they use a bag and shake all the dry ingrediets together
    4. Add dry mixture and egg and milk mixture alternately to creamed butter mixture
    5. Pour into greased pan or muffin tin
    6. Bake at 400 degrees for 22-27 minutes
    7. Serve warm, tastes great with corn syrup and butter
