Campfire Bannock Dogs

Ingredients Equipment Method Notes

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups flour
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 4 tbsp butter COLD
  • 2 tsp white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Equipment

  • 1 plastic bag
  • 4 sticks for roasting!
  • 1 set of measuring cups
  • 1 Set of measuring spoons

Method
 

  1. Add all ingredients to your ziploc bag and squish around until dough is crumbly (refrigerate until you need it!)
  2. Prepare roasting stick
  3. Add 1/2 cup of water to ziploc bag and squish around until a dough ball is formed
  4. Form dough into 4-6 balls and then roll the balls into logs and then wrap it around your roasting stick
  5. Roast over fire for about 10-20 minutes (until the outside is browned and the inside is puffed up and hot
  6. Roast your dog and then insert it into the bannock!
