Vanilla Earl Grey Tea Cake

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3 vanilla earl grey tea bags

Equipment

  • 1 pot
  • 1 Whisk
  • 2 bowls
  • 1 pan either cupcake tins or greased pan

Method
 

  1. Put tea bags in a pot, bring to a boil in one cup of milk. Remove from heat and let it steep
  2. Whisk together butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla
  3. Mix together dry ingredients and then slowly add wet to dry
  4. Gradually add steeped tea and milk and mix well
  5. Put into greased pan or cupcake tins. Bake at 350F for about 30-40 minutes
  6. Cool and the glaze with icing of choice
